Thursday as expected
was rather busy. The sad news broke early on that
a Harrier GR9 on it's way to RIAT crashed near Oxford
Airport. Thankfullt the pilot ejected safely. One
the plus side however, there have been some truly
exciting arrivals and rehearsals todays. Arrivals
are expected to continue this evening. Stand out
arrival and rehearsal of the day must by the MiG-29M
which quite literally cartwheels around the
sky. Also highly interesting thanks to the wierdness
factor is the MV-22B Osprey which seems to
be in a silver finish. While the display isn't overly
spectacular, the sight of this strange and new form
of rotary transport is certainly worth a look. Ricardo
Traven also arrived with much vigour including buzzing
the FRIAT tent and his display is just as spectacular
as promised. The Pakistan Air Force C-130 finally
made it and has some special artwork on the tail
