One of
only two airshows held in Surrey takes place at
the pretty all grass Redhill Aerodrome. The airshow
has grown is recent years and in 2004 welcomed it's
first full RAF solo demonstration in the form of
the RAF Valley Hawk solo display. 2005 saw even
more participation from the UK's armed forces with
the Red Devils Parachute Display Team plus four
of the RAF's solo displays. Held very much
in a Garden Party atmosphere with Strawberry Cream
Teas and Jazz Bands, this airshow is a welcome relief
from some of the more hectic events and attracts
some very interesting aircraft in a large fly-in
as well as the afternoon flying display which also
includes warbirds, barnstorming and aerobatics.
Organisers want to make this a "people's airshow"
encouraging the public to get close to the aircraft
on the ground. |
