Thursday
dawned rather grey compared
to Wednesday. Again it was a
slightly slow day with arrivals
coming in fits and bursts. There
were plenty of rehearsals too
with the Swiss and Finnish F/A-18s,
RAF Typhoon as well as
the Hungarian Gripen providing
the fast jet action. There were
a number of arrivals relating
to the Fly Navy 100 theme with
the Black Cats rehearsing. RIAT
also showed off the latest nation
to participate at the event
with the arrival of a Algerian
C-130H Hercules in a smart camoflage
scheme. Also catching the attention
were the Brazilian C-105 Amazonas,
the Dutch Air Force demo F-16
and another one of their compatriots.
Towards the end of Thursday,
the rain set in for the evening
with some very heavy showers
that were reminisent of 2008!
