Royal International Air Tattoo 2011, RAF Fairford - 16th-17th July - Thursday Arrivals

Happily, Thursday has seen good weather throughout the day which hasn't ahmpered arrivals or the rehearsals at all. Early risers would have caught the US Navy P-3C Orion, US ANG KC-135R and US Navy E-6B. It was also good to finally see the B-52H Stratofortress arrive - a show at RAF Fairford would not be complete without one!

There were plenty of other interesting arrivals include the French Air Force Rafale C demo team, a very sporting arrival by the Luftwaffe Airbus A310MRTT as well as rare appearances by a French Mirage 2000N, Italian RSV duo of C-27J Spartan and Tornado IDS, German Army CH-53. Tomorrow looks set fair too so there is plenty more action to come!
