Tickets for the public days of the 49th Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) are now on sale. Marking the start of an unprecedented calendar of summer events in the UK, the show promises not to disappoint. During the public weekend – Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th July – the Aerodrome will be buzzing with aviation delights both in the air and on the ground, as well as a whole host of other attractions.
Farnborough International Ltd (FIL), organiser of the Farnborough International Airshow, has confirmed that the cost for a public day ticket will be just £35.00 when booked in advance and £41.00 on the day. Furthermore, entry for children remains free of charge, as do the majority of on-site attractions making for an excellent, value-for-money day out.
The highlight of the airshow will be the 5-hour flying spectacular which will include aerobatic displays from the Red Arrows, the Breitling Jet Team and The Blades, as well as demonstrations from a variety of commercial and military aircraft, both modern and historic. Additional flying entertainment also comes from the Breitling Wing Walkers – the world’s only formation wing walking team. Other highlights of the Airshow not to be missed include the Innovation Zone, the Space Zone and, for the first time in the UK, Virgin Galactic – Richard Branson’s vision for commercial space travel.
In this Jubilee year, the organisers have also taken the unprecedented decision to offer a limited number of tickets to the public on the Friday of show week – ‘Jubilee Day’. Traditionally only open to the trade audience, these tickets will allow visitors to view the Exhibitions halls before they close for the public weekend. Jubilee Day Passes are available to purchase online via the website http://www.farnborough.com.
Commenting on the show, Shaun Ormrod, CEO said: “In this Olympic and Jubilee year, the Farnborough International Airshow will kick off a whole host of summer events. We have maintained our Kids Go Free policy and have some great attractions coming to the show. Watch this space for further announcements.”
