UK Airshow Calendar - May 2012

• 5th-7th - Royal Flying Corps '1912 - 2012' Centenary Fly In - Stow Maries Aerodrome, Essex - A three day fly-in celebrating 100 Years since the formation of the Royal Flying Corps. The fly-in will hopefully include some wonderful replicas of RFC WW1 aircraft amongst others at this preserved RFC aerodrome. CM3 6RN
   
• CANCELLED - Shuttleworth Spring Airshow - Old Warden, Bedfordshire - The first display of the year at the Shuttleworth Collection SG18 9EP
   
• 6th - Abingdon Air & Country Show - Abingdon Airfield, Oxfordshire - Always one of the first displays of the year, Abingdon attracts a variety of civilian, warbirds and military displays alongside a country fayre. OX13 6JG
   
• CANCELLED - Wings and Wheels - Henham Park, Suffolk - Large fly-in and small flying display in the spectacular grounds of Henham Park NR34 8AN
   
• 19th - Shuttleworth Spring Evening Airshow - Old Warden, Bedfordshire - The first evening show of the year at Old Warden and to sample the magic of these very special events SG18 9EP
   
• 19th-20th - Living History Weekend - Halfpenny Green, Wolverhampton, West Midlands - Two re-enactment groups are coming (Northern Forties & Luftwaffe Airfield Re-enactment Group) portraying British, American and German WWII personnel and civilian life during the war. There will be military and civilian vehicles, ground-run aero engines, remote-control tanks, entertainers – even a Winston Churchill look-alike, aircraft fly-in both days. There will be aircraft in wartime markings and civilian aircraft of the period. DY7 5DY
   
• 25th-27th - Aero Expo 2012 - Sywell Aerodrome, Northamptonshire - General Aviation trade fair that includes several flying displays from general aviation types right through to powerful aerobatics aircraft NN6 0BN
   
• 26th-27th - Southend Festival of the Air 2012 - Southend Seafront, Essex
  The first of the big seaside airshows takes place at Southend. Note this year on Saturday and Sunday! SS0 7RN
   
• 27th - Jubilee Air Show - IWM Duxford, Cambridgeshire
  The first Duxford Airshow of the year celebrates the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. CB22 4QR
