Further confirmations for Welshpool 2015 The organising committee of the Bob Jones Memorial Airshow at Welshpool Airport are delighted to confirm that the display schedule for this year’s show continues to grow. The following are all now confirmed to appear in the skies overhead Welshpool this summer.

Cold war icon – XH558 The Vulcan. This amazing delta winged bomber, the only one of its kind remaining returns to grace Mid Wales again. You cannot fail to be impressed by this massive, noisy aircraft. People are known to travel the length of the country just to see this one machine. The Great War Display Team. A smoke-swirling engrossing aerial theatre of replica World War 1 biplanes and tri-planes will twist and turn with perfectly choreographed dogfights right over our heads. http://www.greatwardisplayteam.com/

Mk82a Strikemaster, a former military trainer aircraft screams in from its base at Hawarden for a jet-powered aerobatic display. http://www.nwmas.com/

Former Llanfechain pilot, Lauren Richardson visits again in her amazing colourful cartwheeling Pitts Special. http://theaerobaticproject.com/

Bob Pooler also pops across the border from his base at Sleap, near Shrewsbury once more for another display with his bright yellow Slingsby Firefly T67M

Also Sleap based are biplane duo The Old Bückers flying their vintage Bücker Jungmann machines. Their display is an evocative presentation of close formation manoeuvres with sights and so unds nostalgic of the 1930’s era. www.oldbuckers.co.uk

For the first time ever at Welshpool this year will be Team Raven, a team of five pilots flying Van s RV4s and RV8 s in a scintillating display of close-formation precision flying. www.ravendisplayteam.co.uk
