Dates are now officially confirmed for the 2015 SHOREHAM AIRSHOW. AUGUST 22ND AND 23RD which will see the return of this award winning event for its 26th year.

Derek Harber – Airshow Organiser was delighted with the response we had for last year’s show, which broke all records. ‘Aeroplane Magazine’ highlighted Shoreham as being the Best UK Family Airshow of last year. “What an achievement for all those involved. A Big Thank You also to our many Sponsors and Supporters who have helped make Shoreham Airshow what it is!”

2015 sees the 75th Anniversary of ‘The BATTLE OF BRITAIN’ and this will be celebrated in style with particular emphasis on the Airfield Attack and Scramble Scenario. Rod Dean, Flying Display Director is already working on plans for this, hopefully including the welcome return of the Blenheim which has been lovingly restored by John Romain and his team at The Aircraft Restoration Company.

Rod went on to say. “There will be several new display aircraft flying this year, and I plan to bring as many of these as possible to Shoreham. Aviation History plays such an important part when it comes to planning this Airshow. We mix new with the old, and that is what makes Shoreham so special.

“We got it right last year; even to the extent of bringing in a stunning display by model aircraft – one even flying alongside its real life counterpart. Of course we like to cater for Fast Jet enthusiasts and there will be some exciting additions to please all. Watch out for Brendan O’Brien and his Truck Top Landing Display.”

“Shoreham has now attracted major International Interest, and this is an area we will be looking at for additional displays. There will of course be all the popular Ground attractions and a large Static Aircraft Display giving visitors the opportunity to meet the many visiting Aircrews. The spectator viewing which is so close to the runway with the backdrop of Lancing College and the South Downs makes Shoreham just that little bit special,” said John Periam, the Airshow’s Press Officer.

It is ‘Early Days’ but be rest assured AUGUST 22ND AND 23RD will see some of the Best Flying on the UK Airshow Circuit with over 60 display aircraft participating – “Chocks Away !!”
